required:

Jars

Lids

Rings

Jar Lifter

Pressure Canner

(With all the brands out there, this needs it's own explanation post. To come shortly)

AND/OR

Water Bathe Canner with Rack and Lid
(or a large stockpot with a rack and lid)

Funnel

Canning Salt

White and Apple Cider Vinegar

 

optional:

Magnetic Lid Lifter

Sieve with Tool

Blender or Food Processor

Hand Grinder

Of an important note:

You can find kits that contain a jar lifter, a funnel, and a magnetic lid lifter in the canning section (where you find your jars) of many stores.  This would probably be the most economic route to go.

There are many more canning gadgets out there, than I have listed.  I'm sure I don't even know them all.   This is just to help you get some starter supplies.
